Prioritising your tasks
Want to share feedback about the podcast? It would be much appreciated. 3 min survey here:
Very often, urgent tasks make the most noise and grab the most attention, making it harder to ignore them or focus on other things but it’s the importance of something to you that matters most when assessing the priority of your tasks.
So you need to ask yourself the question, how important is this to me and why?
Your activity for today is to spend 5 minutes reviewing the tasks you have on your list and ask yourself the question, how important is this task to me?
Be critical and intentional about removing things that aren’t actually important and only then assess their urgency.
You need to be disciplined and pragmatic here - you can only have so many priorities. When you have too many, nothing becomes a priority and it defeats the purpose of doing this in the first place.
