Jesus teaches his disciples about riches, reminding them (and us) that this life is not our only life and that we should live in light of the life to come. There is no fence-straddling - you can only serve one master in this regard. So, as Leonard Ravenhill said, "Tattoo eternity on your eyelids." When we live with the proper perspective, we will make the right choices.
