Tattoos, body art, have been around since ancient times, but in the past decade they've gone mainstream in Western culture. While tattoos, in general, were frowned upon when I was kid, no more. Half of millennials report at least one tattoo. Why do people get tattoos? Should they? At least some tattoos I can understand, though most perplex me. Piercings, now that's another matter.
