Tel-Aviv born, Prof. Meir Ariel is the Head of the Tel Aviv University New Space Center, the Director General of the Herzliya Science Center and a Researcher at the School of Electrical Engineering. Under his guidance, his students launched several nano-satellites into space in recent years. Here, Prof. Ariel is discussing with host Ido Aharoni Aronoff, why they shift to small satellites represents the future of the communications industry. Prof. Ariel aptly describes how low Earth orbit satellite networks are transforming the way satellite communications (SATCOM) are used.
