With 'Killers of the Flower Moon' just weeks away, film critic Ben Friedman is joined by filmmaker, actor, and founder of production company GTE Productions Mariah Owen to discuss maybe the most controversial movie of the 20th century: Taxi Driver. Directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Paul Schrader, Taxi Driver stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle, a vigilante taxi driver out to save Iris, a 12 year old prostitute played by Jodie Foster. Harvey Keitel, Cybill Shepherd, and Albert Brooks co-star. Maybe you know Taxi Driver because this is the movie that supposedly inspired John Hinckley Jr. to shoot President Ronald Reagan, and how Martin Scorsese's film was unfairly blamed as dangerous.
