Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, MEC for Limpopo Transport and Community Safety Violet Mathye expressed optimism when she said that the department leadership has launched a task team that will look into issues of violence within the taxi industry. This comes after weeks of violent altercations between several taxi associations in Lebowakgomo which affected operations in surrounding areas. Mathye and Head of Department Stephen Matjena met with SANTACO and Limpopo National Taxi Alliance and says that she is optimistic that the issues at hand will be dealt with, once and for all.
