Time changes us all. Tastes shift, restlessness sets in, and doing the same thing forever stops working. Some artists evolve smoothly—or at least survive the criticism long enough to settle into a new sound, like Taylor Swift. Others aren’t given that grace. The Zac Brown Band seems to be at that crossroads now. The question is whether they’ll be allowed to grow—or if this marks the end.
