Listen Later

Taylor Swift, born Taylor Alison Swift on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, swiftly emerged as a music sensation from a young age. Her tales of young heartache in her songs resonated widely, garnering her immense success in the early 21st century. Swift's artistry is admired for its genre-spanning discography and her prowess in songwriting, having written or co-written every song in her discography except a few covers and guest features. Her journey began as a professional songwriter at 14, and she later signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2005. By 16, she had her first Top 40 hit with "Tim McGraw," featured on her 2006 debut album. Her 2008 album, "Fearless," was her first to reach No. 1, and it included the Top 5 crossover hit "Love Story".

Swift's upcoming song, "Suburban Legends (Taylor's Version)," is part of her re-recorded album, "1989 (Taylor's Version)," set to release on October 27, 2023, via Republic Records. This song is the twentieth track on the album and is categorized as the fourth "From the Vault" track, indicating that it was among her unreleased works before this album. "Suburban Legends (Taylor's Version)" was unveiled as part of this album, which has a total length of 1 hour and 17 minutes. Prior to this release, "Suburban Legends" remained one of Taylor's many unreleased songs and had never been in rotation before. The re-recording is part of Swift's ongoing endeavor to regain ownership of her earlier discography by re-recording her albums. Other albums re-recorded and released in this format include "Fearless (Taylor's Version)," "RED (Taylor's Version)," and "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)".
