Humans have two qualities. One that is given to them from God , born talented smart and good. One that is self achieved when you work on yourself to be better. We are created with both of these qualities. The Neshama , a gift from God and a coarse body, an animalistic soul capable of going against Hashem. Capable of being lower than an animal, however we have the capability of taking this vulnerable person and rising to the greatest Hights.
