Herb Rice is a nuclear physicist and the longest serving engineer in the history of NASA with 47 years of tenure. He is also my uncle. Here we discuss his childhood in Louisa, KY, his high school football career at Louisa high school in the 1950s, and the early days of Dee's restaurant, among other things.
