TBP- Throwback Promises Part III

Listen Later

Morning, afternoon,  evening whatever the case maybe, Donna here for you personally!

No, I did not leave you promise less, if that's even a word! My editing person was not available to combine the two audio recordings. So here we go!

I left off with the written transcript of five (5) wonderful quotes about failure and aging, which as absolutely nothing to do with your TBP-Throwback Promises.

Here's three (3) more quotes that will get you closer to your goals, dreams, and throwback promises.

Les Brown  talked about surrounding yourself with OQP- Only Quality People, this quote goes hand and hand with the OQP

"No person is your friend who demands your silence or denies your right to grow."--Alice Walker delivered this empowering message back in 1972, think about it!!

"One child, one teacher, one pen, and one book can change the world."-Malala Yousafzai, in 2014 she received the Nobel Peace Prize, before that at age  15, while on the way to school  on a bus with friends, she was shot in the head.

Look I had no idea that at age 53 years old I would be the first in my family to obtain a Bachelor's degree in social work, and now in the process of publishing my second book, starting a podcast.

Everything that I am saying on this podcast, you already know. I simply want to make room for my gift of encouraging, comforting, and  giving hope to people in need of completing their goals, dreams, and throwback promises.

Another excerpt from my book: From Greyhound To A Cap-N-Gown: The Key to Survival, Success, and Significance.

Looking over my social work degree plan, my advisor suggest that I take some more classes over the summer to ensure that I graduate on time come May 3, 2014.  My heart nearly jumped out of my chest when I saw on the curriculum Elementary Statistics, heck I barely passed Algebra in high school, at that moment all the results of walking by faith was running out the door.

Why and when will a social worker need elementary statistics, I thought but while reading the objective, outline, and other materials there were several hypotheses or proposed explanations made based on limited best practices used in the vulnerable communities for a future advocate such as myself.

This class involved a lot of case studies and research, which I had no discipline of being a person that spent time in the library, the club, the bed may be but not those places.
This professor, in my opinion was way past the retirement age, he was very fragile due to some type of illness. Some days he would fall asleep at his desk while we did assignments in class, but hey all I am trying to do is make it to the end, which is June 15. I was not told to have a fancy calculator called the TI-84 Plus. Bless God one of my classmates had one and was not taking summer classes, so I was able to hold hers and not worry about how I was going to buy a calculator that cost a hundred bucks.

We the recording is about to end, and you have homework. Yeah those three (3) questions from Part II. Please send the responses to my email, and I will choose three (3) and have the three individuals as a guest on Facebook.
