This week on TCR Express digital media editor Warren Frey talks with Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson about his recent talk with Gensler, the global design firm that’s working on a new kind of laboratory configuration that takes new factors such as COVID-19 and outside ventilation into account amongst other factors. Russell also attended the recent Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – British Columbia transportation conference which addressed infrastructure concerns after B.C. was slammed with devastating floods last November which wiped out many major bridges and highways.

Daily Commercial News staff writer Don Wall reported on a recent panel discussion on workplace diversity and inclusion in the construction sector that featured Jennifer Khan, Head of Inclusive Diversity at EllisDon, and Nour Hachem-Fawaz, President and Founder of Build a Dream. DCN staff writer Angela Gismondi also covered sessions from the Ontario Road Builders' Association Summit last week and spoke with Andy Manahan, former head of the Residential and Civil Alliance of Ontario.
