I saw and heard this guy today letting fly on his 6 year old daughter and I wanted to share some observations on that. He was a big guy and he bellowed at this little girl in such a way that my attention was immediately drawn to where they were. He caught my eye and I'm sure he felt my discomfort and disaproval. I hope he was embarrassed enough to think harder about how he influences have kids because from where I'm standing, adults need to do better when we find ourselves in challenging circumstances with our children. Bottom line is it's easy to lose it with our kids. Knee jerk is flawed. We need to work on ourselves, get our shit together. Otherwise we're just replicating our own negative experience in our kids.
