This morning I'm reading from the introduction to Abraham Maslow's book, Toward A Psychology of Being. In this excerpt he addresses his critics claims that through his theory of human motivation that he promotes selfishness, a focus on self to the detriment of the whole. He refutes this. I add my own commentary to the subject.
