Teacher as Fire Starter

This podcast will embolden anyone interested in education.  We undertake divergent topics to enlighten us on what it means to be a citizen, to be educated, and to educate.   We discuss innovations and brainstorm.  

As a high-school Social Studies teacher of over twenty years, I believe in the power of conversation while understanding much of what teachers do is in isolation: lesson planning, grading, classroom management, and teaching.  There's also the enormity of growing informed and empowered citizens by our instruction.  

In 2012, I earned  a D.Litt. from Drew University where I reinvented my teaching by unearthing my assumptions.  In 2019, Digital Promise selected me as an HP Teaching Fellow, recognizing me as an innovator in the classroom.  

Our conversations won't go into criticizing administrators, colleagues, parents, or students.
