Here is a great collaboration between teachers and occupational therapists. A wonderful learning experience.
Goals: What to do we want to achieve?
1) To transfer knowledge to teachers about:
- the typical progression of gross and fine motor skill development
- red flags which suggest the student may be having challenges with motor coordination
2) To help teachers:
- identify students who are not performing motor skills at the developmentally appropriate
level
- determine if a student's challenges are due to lack of experience/practice or if there may
be possible coordination or other difficulties
