Let's not kid ourselves; we all know we remember more from what we memorized as a young child than what we try to retain now! 

Psalm 119:11 tells us "Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." 

The best time to hide God's Word in our hearts is when we are young. Those elementary years are truly golden!
