Teaching, Motherhood, and the Cross We Bear with Teacher Tet Francisco

Listen Later

Kumusta, mga kaibigan! In this special episode of JOSh Friends, we embrace the journey of the Cross—not just as a burden, but as a path toward hope, freedom, and new beginnings.

Joining us today is Tet Escaner-Francisco, a dedicated music teacher of 33 years and a loving mother of five. Music has always been at the heart of her life, shaping not only her career but also the faith and values she has passed on to her children.

Today, she shares her reflection on "We Carry the Saving Cross," one of the moving songs from the Behold the Cross album by Jesuit Music Ministry. As an educator, a mother, and a musician, Tet sees in this song the everyday struggles we all face—the crosses we bear as we walk the road of life. Yet, in each trial, she also finds the melody of faith, perseverance, and God’s unwavering love.

Just as in music, where every note has purpose and meaning, our lives are a composition shaped by joys, challenges, and victories. And as Holy Week approaches, we are invited to carry our crosses with Christ, knowing that each step leads us closer to redemption.
