Lade Akande is a trailblazer in bringing wellness practices to schools, hospitals and non-profit settings. She holds an MS in School Counseling from Butler University and is a certified 500hr Trauma-informed Yoga Teacher and a Continuing Educational Provider through The Yoga Alliance, where she has helped lead multiple teacher trainings. With over 13 years of experience in education, Lade has created research-based school curriculum around yoga & mindfulness and is currently serving as the first Director of Wellness at a high school in Indiana. She is passionate about sharing trauma-informed practices that are easy and accessible and takes a holistic approach in integrating wellness themes within the culture of the organizations in which she serves. Lade looks forward to sharing her research, techniques and unique perspectives in bringing creative, trauma-informed practices and wellness initiatives to non-traditional settings.
