Good day. Welcome to the Chosen Vessels Pray Podcast, sponsored by Anchor. My name is Maria E. White, and I am the author of Chosen Vessels Pray with Purpose and Passion.
The title of today's "Teachable Thursday" episode is "Don’t Fly Away--Find Rest in Trusting God." In this episode of Teaching Thursday, we will spend some time reflecting on God's Word based on references from Psalm 55:1-3, 6, and 16-17. Throughout our time together, we will use God's Word to help us navigate life's challenges, one conversation or episode at a time.
In Psalm 55, we learned that David pleaded with God to hear his prayer; his prayers of intercession and petition to Him as the One True God. Our God, who could hide David from his foes, the one true God, could aid David and grant him favor over his adversaries. David pleaded with God to address his feelings of restlessness, anxiety, and unease, and God responded to his emotional request. Our brother David's prayers to God were genuine. The pain he felt because of a confidant's betrayal caused him to groan and moan. He informed God that he was currently experiencing unease and anxiety.
Remember, Chosen Vessels, you can endure and overcome anything that comes your way. Your life is in God's hands.
I pray that this episode blesses you, and please remember that it is essential for us to have a relationship with the Lord, as He is the only one who can grant us peace in times of unrest. If you do not have a relationship with the Lord, you need only acknowledge your lack of faith and repent. Once you have made this confession to the Lord Jesus, ask Him for forgiveness for not believing in Him as your Lord and Savior, and know that He will forgive you because the Bible says in John 3:16:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
The Lord loves us, and if you believe in Him, you can rest assured that He will give you the peace you need in times of unrest.
