We've all heard the classic 'I'd die for you' in films, TV shows and music but sometimes it's much harder to live for yourself, let alone someone else. We're trying to change the outlook on mental health, one word at a time. My name is Jake and I will be your host! I'm not a doctor and don't have qualifications in this field, however I have lived with anxiety/depression for 10 years as of March 2024 (which will be my 26th birthday). As a young man who struggles daily with what goes on inside my own head, I fall into the most 'at risk' group identified by a number of authorities for mental health issues and suicide risk, so I hope that by talking openly about this it can help even one person and then it will all be worth it. I will talk about any/all topics related to mental health - primarily men's but there will be branches and tangents don't worry! I will aim to have some guests join me to offer other insights too, such as my friends and colleagues who could shed some light on what it's like from their point of view and the changes they've seen in me over my time with them.
