The purpose of this podcast series is to discuss some of the biggest issues in the world we live in and issues that we may face over the next decade. We are not here to solve those issues, just to bring them into focus.
Alongside this series, we ran an online residency programme called Tech for The Public Good. In partnership with the British Council and the University of Leeds's Horizons Institute, we brought together artists, creatives and academics from around the world to spend 10 days together to discuss how we can use technology to help societies from all over the world. During this time they prototyped solutions using technology and creativity to tackle global issues that they collectively decide upon. The conversations in this podcast series we're aimed to inform their process and get them talking about their own lived experiences or prompting creative responses.
In our fourth podcast of the series, we spoke to Dr Alice Owens, Lucy Brooks and Elizabeth Edgington on how tech can be a vital tool in combating climate change and the immediate disaster the globe is facing. Discussing the aftermath of COP 26 and ways in which we can utilise tech to do our part in creating a greener more sustainable world.
