Live Podcasts

You’ll save a lot of time by doing a live podcast. You won’t have the control that you might be used to either. In order to do a live podcast well, you need to plan ahead and test everything. If there are other people involved, there are some terms that you might need to know like “time and out,” “VOSOT,” and have a communication strategy for times when you can’t just talk about what’s going on.

Editing

There are downsides to editing, too. I’ve talked about time, but the level of control can tempt you to try and make it perfect. Perfect will prevent you from sending it out, so be careful. When it comes to certain mistakes, it’s often much easier to fix them at the time of recording than during editing. When you’re editing, removing a simple “um” could take hours, but just not saying it takes a second.
