In the ninth episode of Keepin' Kozy, we spoke with Akshay Bhargava, the Chief Product Officer at Malwarebytes, a member of Forbes' Technology council, and a first-generation immigrant to the United States.
This episode focused on the changing dynamic of cybersecurity, and the novel ways in which Millenials are specifically targeted by hackers.
We also spoke on his immigration story to California and the changing dynamics and gentrification of the Bay Area, and how technology companies can work with the other community stakeholders to create a solution to the problem. He also stressed the importance of diversity initiatives in order to deracialize tech from being predominantly white/Asian male-dominated.
Lastly, he gave some advice on how he nailed his interview to get into the infamously hard McKinsey & Company, the importance of getting an MBA to advance your career, and career advice that goes beyond the general "keep the faith".
