Tech Society is introducing a limited series that looks into the challenge of leading people and organisations. Over the next three episodes of Tech Society, we will be speaking with three influencial practitioners whose experience demonstrates that they know what makes a good leader, and have practiced what they preach.

First in our series is Sam Walsh AO; businessman, public speaker, company director and former CEO of resource company Rio Tinto from 2013 to 2016. He now spends his time supporting his interests in the business and not-for-profit. In 2010, he was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for his work in the mining industry and establishing employment programs for Indigenous Australians.
