As NASA prepares for the launch of Artemis join Broward County Library for an interactive conversation with Slade Peters, Ground Operations Manager/Landing & Recovery Element Operations Manager for Exploration Ground Systems at Kennedy Space Center.
Slade Peters is the Landing and Recovery (L&R) Ground Operations manager/Element Operations manager in Exploration Ground Systems at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In this role, he leads the operations team that tests and loads the L&R equipment on the ship for crew module recovery operations. His team also unloads the ship and delivers the Orion crew module back to Kennedy – across the country – after landing. In addition, Peters manages the L&R operations budget and ensures all operational planning for L&R is on track and completed prior to each Underway Recovery Test and Artemis mission.
