It was on this date in 1915 that Albert Einstein presents the field equations of general relativity to the Prussian Academy of Sciences.

It was 75 years ago today that World War II: First flight of the de Havilland Mosquito and Martin B-26 Marauder.

November 25, 1952, Agatha Christie’s murder-mystery play The Mousetrap opens at the Ambassadors Theatre in London. It will become the longest continuously-running play in history.

That same date in 1984, Thirty-six top musicians gather in a Notting Hill studio and record Band Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” in order to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia.
