Why is everyone’s Primary tool their smartphone?

Turns out there is a Psychological “Attachment Theory” that is actually present here. Source: Psychology Today.

It is described as a similar behavior where children couldn’t put down the Teddy Bear during those years.

Similar to how a Teddy Bear provides a connection when a parent is away, the cellphone situation is the same. The phone can be kept by your side while providing the connection to those things you can’t be near in-person.

I see an example of this behavior that may even be present in myself!
