Happy Friday the 13th to all! It's an advanced greeting since we release podcasts on Wednesday, but who argues semantics? Certainly no one on this podcast!
With Friday the 13th coming up in just two days, your hosts Teebs and KidPhoenix finally decided to take time out to talk about the genre of "slasher films" -- not the overall horror genre, but the slasher genre, specifically. What makes horror films so good (in their opinion)? Why do they like them? There is some talk about the big franchises like "Friday the 13th" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street", but where did those movies get their cues from? Joining Teebs and KidPhoenix on today's pod is Jennifer Cooksey of Horrorgasm SD to help the Royster Brothers navigate through the dark, misty surroundings of the woods of the slasher genre.
Put on your best set of finger gloves. Sharpen the machete. You're in for a good time!
