Kate Shelby has a teenager with a post cancer brain injury. He's not intellectually impaired, his disability is completely invisible.

One of the problems with an ABI with some children is they experience everything 10 fold.

So emotional responses like anger, anxiety, excitement.... All amplified.

There's also the issue of early puberty as well.

This week we have a survivor of teenage depression and he is all the way from South Africa. Kefiloe Prince Sello went through depression in his early college days at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is now in his final year and is aspiring to be a private chef, he has his own blog and podcast. He shares his story with us, enjoy.

Teenage depression is a serious mental health problem that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Depression in teenagers are often left unsolved causing major long term effects on the teenagers; example, drug abuse and possibly death.
