Teens face toughest job market on record

Employment opportunities for teens and early 20-somethings 10대와 20대의 취업 기회가

according to a new study by the Brookings Institution. 브루킹 연구소의 새로운 연구에 따르면
Just 26% of teens ages 16 to 19 had a job in 2011, 2011년에 16세에서 19세 사이의 10대 가운데 26%만이 직업을 갖고 있었다.
down from 45% in 2000. 2000년 이래 45% 감소한 수치다.
That's the lowest rate on record in the post-World War II era. 세계 제 2차 대전 이래 가장 낮은 비율을 기록한 것이다.
The teen job market is most dire in places like Riverside, Calif., McAllen, Texas, and Los Angeles, 청소년 일자리는 대단히 심각한 상태이다. 캘리포니아의 리버사이드, 택사스의 맥캘런, 로스엔젤레스와 같은 곳에서 (취업이 제일 안된다) (대단히 심각한, 엄청난, 몹시 나쁜)
where fewer than 1 in 6 teens are employed. 그곳에서는 청소년 6명 중 한 명만이 고용이 됐다.
Meanwhile, Provo, Utah, boasts the highest teen employment rate in the country.
