TeleVet, an Austin, Texas-based creator of a mobile telemedicine application virtually connecting veterinary clinics to pet owners, closed a $5M Series A round of funding.

The round was led by Mercury Fund, with participation from Dundee Venture Capital, Atento Capital, GAN and Urban Capital Network.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Steven Carter, TeleVet provides a veterinary telemedicine platform built to enhance the relationship between veterinary practices, pet guardians and pets.

The app allows two-way communication between clients and veterinary staff, enabling telemedicine, appointment scheduling, digital prescriptions and much more.
