In this episode X speaks with Ricky Sim. Ricky (he/him) is an NYC Queens-based comedian originally from Malaysia. As a stand-up, he has performed at various venues in NYC (e.g., Carolines on Broadway, Broadway Comedy Club, Caveat, Comedy Cellar), LA, Toronto, and Kuala Lumpur. He opened for Marcia Belsky (Comedy Central) as part of the 2022 NY Comedy Festival and was featured in two other showcases at the Festival. He has performed at New York Queer Comedy Festival, Very Big Very Asian Comedy Festival, and Asian Comedy Festival.  

He was selected as a 2021 PIT/SNL scholarship recipient. He is part of the sketch comedy team SponsoredBy which has a monthly show at the Player’s Theater.  He has trained at UCB, The PIT, Magnet Theater, and Squirrel Comedy studying improv, character, and sketch.
