Blank space in my calendar is the most dangerous thing in my week. If a task isn’t booked in, it doesn’t happen.

I also walk you through my step-by-step ADHD cleaning order, how I set up my home so I can see what I need, and how I declutter without the guilt.
And I explain why getting an adult ADHD diagnosis is the most life-changing thing you can do.
If you’re tired of fighting your own brain, take one of my hacks and try it this week.

I was just named Business Coach of the Year at the 2026 AHIA awards (Australia New Zealand Hairdressing Industry Awards).
But this episode isn’t about bragging, instead it’s an inside look at how these awards work. Because I’ve actually judged industry awards for about nine years myself.
You’ll hear exactly how I rank entries, why I mark down fluffy answers, and why I want a “done-er”, not a “gonna-do”.
You’ll learn why proof beats promises, why I don’t check your social media, and how writing one award entry can work like a full audit of your salon, barbershop, or beauty business.
You’ll also hear why being a finalist is great marketing and branding, why one friend picks state awards over national ones, and how awards build social proof and trust with new clients.
Then I reveal why getting out to industry events and into your local business community still matters.
This episode is for salon owners, hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists, and service business owners who want to grow, stand out and build a stronger brand.

There are 40,000 hair and beauty businesses in this industry. Clients now ask AI where to go, which means word of mouth and foot traffic don’t carry you like they used to. So how does your salon stand out?
I’ve watched so many brilliant salon owners hide inside a brand that looks exactly like everyone else’s.
They’ve all got white walls, arch mirrors, and beige chairs - and then they wonder why clients walk past.
In this episode of Tell Me About It, I’m joined by Tamara Reid. She’s the founder of Inside Industry and a brand marketing consultant with 18 years in hair and beauty.
Brands call Tamara when they’re great but nobody knows about them.
You’ll hear the first question she asks every brand she helps.
We also get into how to make AI write like you, not like everyone else (Tamara shares the simple tip she uses to train it on her voice).
We talk about spicy content without being cruel, why she keeps her kids off social media, and what therapy taught her about running on 2% battery. Plus, she tells the story of quitting a senior corporate role with twin one-year-olds and no plan, and why she believes if it’s perfect, it’s too late.
If you own a salon, clinic or beauty brand and you’re tired of blending in, hit play now.

I’ve had 34 surgeries on my reproductive organs, and for years doctors told me it was just heavy periods.
Today, I’m telling you the whole story.
In this raw episode of Tell Me About It, I share my full women’s health journey.
My periods started in grade four, by 19 I had a cancer biopsy with no anaesthetic, and then a cervical cancer diagnosis.
During surgery, they found I was riddled with endometriosis. At 27, I had breast cancer and at 31 I finally got a PCOS diagnosis.
Then came IVF, with an egg count of about three - now I’m 14 and a half weeks pregnant with my boy.
I’m also sharing the IVF side effects nobody warns you about.
If you live with endometriosis, PCOS, infertility, or chronic pain, this one’s for you.
Trigger warning: this episode covers periods, surgery, cancer, IVF and mental health.

If you hate selling salon retail, this episode is for you.
Because what my guest is sharing doesn’t involve spending $12,000 on a grand opening order, there’s no stock sitting on a shelf for a year, and zero pushy pitching at the basin.
My guest is Victoria Domazet, founder of Digital Salon Retail.
Vic is a hairdresser of 23 years, a home salon owner, and a three-time AHFA Australian Hair Educator of the Year finalist.
She also calls herself the worst at selling retail - until one day she sends a client an affiliate link for a hairdryer. She doesn't even remember doing it. Yet soon she has a $40 credit in her account, and that moment flipped everything she thought she knew about salon retail.
Vic explains how affiliate marketing for hairdressers works and why traditional retail shuts out independent hairstylists and home salons.
She also shows why the product link or screenshot you send a client is a paid job. We unpack the fear of being salesy, the money stories behind it, and why Vic now talks about retail more than ever.
If you're an independent hairstylist, home salon owner, or salon owner who wants to earn from your expertise without more hours behind the chair, hit play now.
Key moments:

I’ve spent 6-figures, sold two cars and an investment property, and been stabbed in the guts twice a day for weeks on end.
This is the episode where I finally tell you what IVF actually involves.
I explain how an egg retrieval cycle works, why my ovaries swelled from three centimetres to fifteen, what a frozen embryo transfer really involves, and how our little boy came from the worst cycle we have ever done. My doctor nearly cancelled it twice.
I also break down the true cost of IVF in Australia, what Medicare and private health do and do not cover, and why we sold so much to make this happen. You’ll hear about Cam's role in the process, how our scientist inseminates the eggs, and how a miscarriage led me to take a 14 month break for my mental health before trying again.
Plus the moment we heard a heartbeat for the very first time.
If you are starting IVF, sitting in the two week wait, or supporting someone who is, press play and hear what infertility treatment really looks like.

"Just relax." "Have you tried fish oil?" "At least you can get pregnant". Every single comment in this episode was actually said to me during my IVF journey.
I’m sharing my IVF journey in a three-part series, and this week is the one your friends need you to hear. I go through the real things people have said to me while I'm mid-cycle, mid-miscarriage, and mid-life. I explain why each one lands like a brick and what to say instead.
I also share the list of everything we've actually tried, from acupuncture and 64 supplements to genetic testing and specialty fertility drugs.
That list exists so you understand why "have you tried X, Y, or Z" is the wrong question. I talk about the 196 needles in two months, the car I sold to pay for a cycle, and why nobody goes through this by choice.
Whether you're supporting someone through fertility treatment or living it yourself, press play.
Tune in to hear about:
💜 Why people deep in IVF rarely have the capacity to ask for help (and one question that can help)
💜 The exact lines I use to shut down a conversation… use these if you’re struggling
💜 Why unsolicited advice hurts most in the exact moment people think it helps
💜 A 4-year list of therapies, tests, and treatments I’ve tried
💜 The counterintuitive yet kind gesture from a near stranger that other people need to model

Nobody hands you a manual for turning childhood abuse, addiction, and burnout into a thriving business, so Claire Burton wrote her own.
In this episode of Tell Me About It, I talk with Claire Burton. Claire is the founder and CEO of Evolution Launch Support Services - an NDIS provider built on lived experience.

We also dig into foster care and the broken parts of the child safety system.
Claire also shares how she met her wife Megan in an unlikely place, the truth about coming out later in life, facing homophobia on the Gold Coast, and the biggest myths the media spreads about the NDIS and disability support in Australia.

Mikki Auld built a seven-figure salon - and then she did something most owners never dare to do.
She made herself unnecessary.
In this episode of Tell Me About It, Cait Muir sits down with Mikki Auld (hair colorist, educator, and founder of Paloma Roan and Mikki Auld Education).
Her story starts with just $300 in the bank and it ends (so far) with three salons opened, two sold, and a seven-figure salon business that runs without her - all while she lives on the other side of the world.
Mikki shares the systems, structures, and mindset shifts that let her step away from the day-to-day grind, and even move to the USA.
She also gets real about starting again in a brand new country, building a client base from scratch, and why she keeps betting big on herself, both in business and in life.
If you feel chained to your chair, this episode shows you another way.
Tune in to hear:
💜 The real story behind building a seven-figure salon from a $300 start
💜 What it takes to create a salon that runs without you

💜 The “major retail store” secret she used to operate her salon from day one
💜 How Mikki went from knowing nobody in the US to fully booked in 12 weeks
💜 The old-school marketing move that built over 50% of her US clients
💜 How she landed features in Goop, Marie Claire, and InStyle without paying a cent
💜 How one online course launch made $30,000 overnight
💜 Why every salon owner needs more than one income stream
