I had to tell the IRD/Tax department about my Dyslexia today, and do you know what, it actually made me feel good about being an adult dyslexic!   

I had worked really hard to get all the paperwork and information I needed - only to forget to attach them to the email! Duh!   

However, I shared that being dyslexic meant that I missed out on this important piece of information. Because I was able to understand why I missed this step, I could remove the negative internal dialogue.   

Being this honest with an organisation like the IRD (Tax Dept) felt like a big step…but actually, they were lovely and made it all really easy.
