Study the teachings every day at www.templeofislam.com
They told us we were nothing. They kept our history out of their schools. They taught us we did not belong in the room. They broke the confidence of the Black man and woman, and many of us are still carrying it. Tonight the Messenger of Allah, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, shows us how to gain it back.
In this Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed teaches Chapter 75 of Message to the Blackman in America, Confidence Gained Through Prayers. It is a prayer that shows “the complete confidence the Apostle and his followers have in Allah,” and a promise every believer needs to hear: “there is none who can withhold what Thou grantest.”
In this episode:
We open the class by honoring the born day of Sister Clara Muhammad, wife of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and the dignity of the woman in Islam.
If you have ever doubted yourself, or doubted that your prayer would be answered, this class is for you.

“Allah is the only one that can remove this fear from us, but he will not remove it from us until we submit to His will, not our will, and fear Him and Him alone.”
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
Brother Minister Jason Fareed teaches Chapter 17 of Message to the Blackman in America in the exact words of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
To submit is to put yourself under another, and the Messenger teaches us to put ourselves under Allah. This class covers:
Islam is the nature in which we were created. When we submit, we live in our nature, and fear and grief leave us.

When God suggests a thing, it is not a light matter. It is a heavy one.
In this Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed teaches Food God Suggests, Chapter 3 of How to Eat to Live, Book One, by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The Messenger opens the chapter with a question and answers it himself:
“What food does Allah (God) suggest? He suggests the food that is good for us and does not make us ill. Food that is for human consumption and not for animals.”
In this class we study:
The body is our temple. Allah suggests the best for it because He loves us, and He leaves the choosing to you and me.

The Safest Way to Eat | How to Eat to Live, Book One, Chapter 33
“The safest way of all to eat is to stop eating so often (three meals a day and meals between those three meals).”
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
In this Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed teaches Chapter 33 of How to Eat to Live, Book One: The Safest Way to Eat. Food keeps us here and food takes us away. The Messenger shows us that the safest way to eat begins with who is in charge at the table. Our appetite is not our God.
In this class:
The Messenger also draws on the Supreme Wisdom, the Holy Qur’an, the Bible, The Fall of America and the Theology of Time. The class is a call to regulate what we put into our bodies and our minds, so that we can see clearly and live long.

Foods to Avoid | How to Eat to Live, Book One, Chapter 32
On October 7th, the birth anniversary of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Wednesday Evening Ministry Class opened Foods to Avoid from How to Eat to Live, Book One.
The Messenger opens the chapter by setting the order straight: “We should not be asking questions about what kind of foods to eat as much as we should be trying to eat one meal a day. This is where good health and the prolongation of life come from.”
In this class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed breaks down:
We also honor Sister Clara Muhammad, the Messenger’s strong supporter and a perfect example of the M.G.T.
Foods to avoid are physical and spiritual. Avoid the scavengers, the swine, and the poison in our food, and just as importantly, avoid wrong mental food and guidance from those who do not love you.

The Truth of the Teaching | Wednesday Evening Ministry Class | Message to the Blackman in America, Chapter 28
"It is an act of intelligence and love for us to accept our own." With that one sentence the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad opens a chapter that God Himself gave him as His first and foremost teaching for us: Accept your Own and be Yourself.
In this class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed reads Chapter 28 word for word and opens it from the Supreme Wisdom. What is our own? The Messenger answers in order: our own people, our own earth, God and His Religion, Islam, and our own place in the sun. Why do we refuse it? Because we were made blind, deaf and dumb to the knowledge of self and kind when we were babies under slavery. And what is the cure? Intelligence. The act of accepting what belongs to us by nature and by right.
Along the way: the Original Rules of Instruction and Allah's dearest desire "to give everyone his or her own"; Isaiah's ox that knows his owner; the frog pleading with the snake that already has him in its mouth; the modern Pharaoh and why we are fascinated with his riches and his crumbs; Moses' prayer that the riches be broken; and the one part of our deliverance that is on us, loving the enemy more than God. War is inevitable, the Messenger says, but he is not calling us to make war. God must come. Our part is to follow His rules, laws and regulations and do something for self.
Everything of life accepts its kind as its own. This class is the call to come back and do the same.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad took this chapter's title straight from our Lessons. Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praises Are Due Forever, asked in Question 19 of Lost-Found Muslim Lesson No. 2, "If a civilized person does not perform his Duty, what must be done?" In this week's Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed opens Chapter 25 of Message to the Blackman in America word by word, beginning with the first word of the title. If. A condition, not a verdict. The civilized man can perform his duty, or he can fail it.
From there the Messenger tells us what civilization is: "One having knowledge, wisdom, understanding, culture, refinement and is not savage." He tells us there are two civilizations on this earth, "a wicked one and a righteous one," and that "we have all been well trained into the wicked civilization." He measures an advanced civilization not by its technology but by its righteousness. And he tells us where we stand today: "My people in America are under the searchlight of the righteous, who are offering to them the right guidance to a supreme civilization of righteousness never witnessed before on earth."
In this lecture: the three types of people, the 85%, the 10%, and the 5%; the Messenger held responsible for the delivery of the message and his forty million helpers; why a beautiful society must be spiritual; the searchlight that has already found us; the slave-master who failed his duty; fear and ignorance, and the civilized man whose duty is to awaken his people; and the true friend we have today in Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, and the Nation of Islam.
The duty of the civilized man is to teach civilization to the uncivilized. That duty now rests on everyone who hears this class.

In this week’s Temple of Islam class, we study Chapter 18 of Our Saviour Has Arrived, “Be Yourself.” The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that our own self is a righteous Muslim, and from that foundation we examine knowledge of self, the Tribe of Shabazz, submission to Allah, righteousness, resurrection, proper education, self-development, freedom, justice, equality, and the responsibility to build a better life for ourselves, our families, and our community.
This class explores how a people who have been robbed of the knowledge of themselves can begin the process of returning to their true nature through study, discipline, righteous conduct, better thinking, better choices, and the life-giving Teaching of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
Do not allow this lesson to end when the podcast ends. Continue the study for yourself. Open the books, take notes, revisit the lessons, and begin applying the Teaching to your daily life. Share this episode with your family, friends, and anyone who may benefit from a deeper knowledge of self.

Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, ministered by Brother Minister Jason Fareed.
"You, who have been here in America for four hundred years, have never been taught a true knowledge of self, God, and His religion, Islam. As long as you are without such essential knowledge, which is the key of salvation, freedom, justice, and equality, you are not free." The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad opens Chapter 8 with that charge, and this class takes it paragraph by paragraph.
We open on the most important question a person can ask, "Who is God?", and on the Supreme Wisdom Lesson that answers it: there is not a mystery God. We take the Messenger's words as he wrote them and follow where they go. Why we were never taught who we are. Who kept the knowledge from our ears, and why. What the Messenger means by essential knowledge, and by a thorough knowledge of our own history. When the truth arrived, and Who came to make it manifest. Why the hardest problem is not getting the truth to our people but getting them to believe it after it is in their ears. What "Islam, the Religion of Peace" has to do with what Jesus actually taught. And the Messenger's closing word on the religion that was put on us with Jesus' name attached, and what it will take to come out of it.
The class reads the whole chapter aloud in the Messenger's exact words, opens the key words, and sets the Bible and the Holy Qur'an beside the teaching so you can see the agreement for yourself.
Study deeper between classes. Every book and every recorded lecture of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is at www.templeofislam.com. In this powerful class, we examine Chapter 19, “The Black Man,” from Our Saviour Has Arrived by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
This discussion explores the divine purpose behind the coming of Allah in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, the Great Mahdi and Messiah, and why the restoration of the Black man begins with one essential key: the knowledge of self.
We break down the Messenger’s teaching that the Original Black man is infinitely wise, while the Black man in America has been deprived of the knowledge of himself through centuries of slavery, miseducation, and experimentation. We also connect this subject to the Supreme Wisdom Lessons, where the Messenger teaches that ignorance keeps a people blind to themselves and allows them to be used as tools for the purposes of others.
This class is a call to resurrection.
A call to study.
A call to unity.
A call to recognize your value.
And most importantly, a call to use the wisdom Allah gave to the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad to build ourselves, our families, our communities, and a nation of our own.
The question is no longer whether the knowledge is available.
The question is: Will we wake up and use it?
Listen, study, share this message with your family and community, and continue your journey into the knowledge of self.
