This tax was different from tithe or offerings. It was also different than the Roman government taxes collected by tax collectors. In this story, we see Jesus going the extra mile to remove any potential barrier to preaching the Gospel. He cares so much about any human being. There are valuable lessons to learn for our lives and ministry today.
