Just after His baptism, Jesus faced a time of severe testing by the devil. Far from a staged performance, this was a time when it would be proven whether or not Jesus really was the perfect One who, unlike humanity, would maintain steadfast trust in the Father. This sermon will focus on this time in Jesus’ life. This study will explore the motivation behind the temptations and Jesus’ responses to them.
