SUMMARY: We often fail to recognize the God-given value of the people around us, responding instead with indifference, contempt, or even hostility. The sixth commandment calls us beyond simply “not murdering” to become people who honor God’s gift of life—seeing every person as an image-bearer and actively seeking their protection, reconciliation, and good.
