It is quite easy, convenient to slip into some stress relieving, tension relieving device or strategy-music, entertainment, meditation, medication, religious-spiritual activities and so on. Any device, any strategy you choose boomerangs as brain can not stay relieved, stay pleased. One may become addicted to the device or strategy. Instead of slipping into diversions-can one stay with the discomforting feeling and see the emergence of action? The Original may touch you here. This is not to be applied but just watching the process is the key. Stress-relief is seen as an auto process. Now your actions are charged with passion and not bound to compulsion-relief pattern.
We come under the illusion as if result or tomorrow will make us free, free from compulsion, free from confusion, free from discomfort we are experiencing now and stability will come. Can we feel rested now (when there is no immediate danger to life, as any confusion, compulsion, discomfort is psychological discomfort only) and see the emergence of action, see the emergence of imagination. If only for once you touch anger, fear, anxiety, sorrow without any escape, without any explanation, justification, condemnation-you touch the fluid ground, total ground. No philosophy can now entice you. You have touched the current of life.
You are under the illusion as if sorrow and so on are to be covered up or glossed over or thrown away. Nothing can be thrown out of the mind. You are not feeling sorrow, anger, fear, anxiety (uncertainty) but simply trying to throw them away from your mind. This is what causes the trouble.
