As U.S. warships close in on Venezuela’s coast, China has issued a stern warning to President Trump, condemning the military buildup and accusing Washington of violating international norms. Beijing’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning declared that China “opposes any move that violates the purposes and principles of the UN Charter,” urging the U.S. to avoid foreign interference and “do more things conducive to peace” in Latin America
