las púas | (lahs POOH-ahs) | the spikes, points, barbs
el búho | (ehl BOOH-oh) | the owl
el alboroto | (ehl ahl-boh-ROH-toh) | the racket, commotion, uproar, fuss, disturbance
el destello | (ehl deh-STEH-yoh) | the glimmer, hint, flash
las garras | (lahs GAH-rahs) | the claws

Make sure you find a picture or come up with an action to represent each word. THEN, as you repeat each word after me, make sure you are also pointing to the picture or saying the word out loud. This helps your brain really think in Spanish instead of translating from English to Spanish.
