The Founders never thought that anyone would want to make a career in DC. Their idea was to go up for a limited time, serve the country in a respective manner, then go back home and let someone else have another opportunity to serve. Doesn’t seem to be working that way, does it?
We seem to have far too many politicians who got elected, that never intend on coming back home to their communities, not as an average citizen anyway.
When is enough, enough – This is not what the Founders intended definitely didn’t intend for an individual to get elected as a young or middle-aged person to stay in office until they grow old, have problems functioning, and pass away while in office. But this has become the norm in DC, and no one intends to change things, that is unless they are forced to.
