As doctoral candidates at Stanford University, Shannon Randolph and Jason Lewis have conducted much of their research in Africa. Their insight into how our ancestors gathered together around feasts and how feasting traditions continue to shape our relationship to the environment today is fitting food for thought this harvest season.
