Ole had been on the face side for over a year at this point, but what transpired in a cage match at the Omni set up an amazing story of a year long plot that included the likes of Stan Hansen, Ivan Koloff, Gene Anderson, Tommy Rich, Tony Atlas and more as Ole earned the trust of many and lost the trust of his fellow heels to ultimately take down Dusty Rhodes.
