Join Paranormal Outlaw, Melissa, and Tasha. Tonight's guest is Justin R. Romine. Justin R. Romine was born and raised in Belvidere, Illinois (70 miles west of Chicago) where he began a lifelong love affair with film after seeing E.T. for the first time at age 3. At age 7, Justin picked up a video camera and his life changed forever. After watching 1984's A Nightmare on Elm Street, he knew he wanted to make horror films. Justin attended Film School at The University of Nevada-Las Vegas where he studied under Cult Horror director, David Schmoeller. His mentor was the late Tony Curtis. In 2011, Justin took on two big projects in the Chicago area, Afraid of Sunrise and What They Say, respectively. Both films went on to win various festival awards across the country. In 2014 Justin was offered and accepted a position as Professor of Film at The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus where he has created a 2 Year Certificate in Film Tech, teaching film to the poor and underprivileged population of Valencia County. While he teaches production courses, his main goal is to inspire the next wave of filmmakers, young and old. Justin currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico and lives with his girlfriend Josephine, and three cats.
