This weeks episode I sat down with my old boss Terry Laybourne. A chef who brought the first Michelin star to the north east, received an MBE for his services to the hospitality industry and now has six restaurants in Newcastle upon Tyne. I ask Terry why he started his own business in the first place, how he was able to scale over the years and the different motivations behind each venture not to mention the challenges along the way. We discuss the importance of self awareness for leadership along with how working abroad was key to his development. And of course we address the current pandemic and how the restaurant industry might fair over the coming weeks/months/years.
