The Early Sessions Book 9: Cosmic Radio and Timeless Vibes

Buckle up, because we’re diving into the deep end of reality with The Early Sessions Book 9 of The Seth Material, covering sessions 422 through 510, recorded between July 10, 1968, and January 19, 1970. This material is credited to the Seth Material and the publisher New Awareness Network. Grab a snack, stay chill, and let’s see what the big guy Seth has to say about the weirdness of being alive.

The Spooky Mechanics of Projection and Health

Seth starts off by explaining that those "ghosts" people think they see are often just our own baggage getting a physical makeover.

  • York Beach Phantoms: Those apparitions were just "aggressive and destructive energies... unconsciously projected outward, given a pseudoreality."
  • The Cost of Creation: Making these images isn't free. Seth notes, "The physical body then must work overtime... Proteins are used, and there is a high carbohydrate loss on the part of the originator."
  • Spontaneity is the Healer: Being rigid is a drag for your health. Seth quips about Jane's energy: "To force a lid on that pot was a job." He insists that "the spontaneous self is the healer" and we should "always trust motion and change over permanency or rigidity."

Time is a Subjective Trip

Seth’s "Big Brother" (his larger entity) doesn't see time the way we do. To them, our clock-watching is pretty alien.

  • The Perception Pattern: "Time is the pattern of perception. It is highly personal, and has no meaning without personal experience."
  • The Spacious Present: Seth explains that we aren't stuck on a line between birth and death. Instead, "presently you perceive but a small portion of yourself... I am already, in quotes, 'Big Brother,' you see."
  • The Thread Analogy: Imagine reality as a "miraculous webwork" of threads. Advanced personalities can "leapfrog" from one thread to another.
  • The Game of Time: "Various time systems are like games... In your system one of the rules is that you forget you are playing a game in order to concentrate better."

The "Agony" of All That Is

Ever wonder why the universe exists? Seth says it started with a massive cosmic creative itch that needed scratching.

  • The Primary Dilemma: Before everything went "bang," there was a state of "agonized search for expression." It was like having a head full of masterpieces but no hands or clay.
  • The Great Release: To solve the dilemma, All That Is had to "let go" of a portion of itself. "The psychic energy exploded in a flash of creation."
  • Expansion is the Goal: "All That Is is itself evolving... creativity and expansion are the rules."

Deep Entity Vibes and Multidimensional Math

Seth gets a bit "meta" with how identities work.

  • Giant Humanoid Analogy: Imagine an entity as a giant in the sky where stars are "moment points." Seth explains, "The entity and its time are not separate. They are one."
  • Numbers as Identities: Numbers aren't just for counting; they have "multidimensional intensities." Behind the number 1 are infinite other 1s, expanding and contracting.
  • The Artist's Helper: In a hilarious turn, Seth brings advice from a 14th-century painter, Van Elver, warning against using "sepia with too heavy a hand" and recommending a "new synthetic varnish" from Ohio.
