"Having a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge" best describes David's life before salvation. David was into gangs and drugs, and after some drastic events in his life, he attempted to come back to the Lord. He went back to the Pentecostal church, which is all he had ever known, and even became a leader in the church, and was not even saved.
