Ole Miss Rebels vs Texas Tech Red Raiders. Dec. 28, 9 PM ET, Houston, TX.     

The 8–4 Ole Miss Rebels under third year HC Lane Kiffin draw the Texas Bowl with the 7–5 Texas Tech Red Raiders under first year HC Joey McGuire. Kiffin has taken the Rebels to three consecutive bowl games in his tenure at Mississippi while this will be McGuire’s first bowl game as a head coach.     

Ole Miss started the season on a hot 7–0 streak, but criticism of a back-loaded schedule proved true when the Rebels lost 4 of their last 5 games. Texas Tech had more of a rollercoaster ride, but they finished confidently with three straight wins over Big 12 opponents to conclude their season.
